Man Hurt In Shooting At His Arlington Home

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Authorities in Arlington are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting that left a man injured. The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of Gibbins Court, not far from the intersection of Cooper Street and Road to Six Flags Street, and very close to Webb Elementary School.

Police have only said that an adult male was shot at his home by an unknown suspect.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive. The nature of his injuries is not known. The man's name has not yet been released. Police have not said if anyone else was inside of the residence at the time of the shooting.

Detectives are working to determine a motive for the attack. Law enforcement officials have not yet named any possible suspects in this case, but the investigation is ongoing.

There were no students at the nearby elementary school at the time of the shooting. The Arlington Independent School District is closed on Tuesday due to icy conditions across North Texas.
