THE COLONY (CBSDFW.COM) - A husband is grieving for his murdered wife, while police in The Colony continue to search for her killer. Surveillance cameras captured the crime Wednesday morning at Rapido Gas Station, and police are hoping that someone will recognize the suspect and help get him behind bars.

Nabaraj Siwakoti and his wife, Samira, own the convenience store located along Main Street in The Colony. Samira was working at the store just before 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday when an armed robber shot her in the face before fleeing in a newer black four-door vehicle.

A police spokesman said that this was the most heinous act he has seen in 25 years as an officer.

Now, the victim's husband is left struggling to understand why his wife had to die during a store robbery. "I don't have no words," Nabaraj Siwakoti said Wednesday with heavy tears. "Nothing else. Just that I'm missing her. I'm still hoping that she'll come from the store. When I go to the store, I'm still hoping that I'll see her there."

The couple have two children, a 2-year-old and a 9-month-old.

Community members are mourning the loss as well, bringing flowers to the couple's store. "It's really just hard to hear any mother being taken away from her child so young," said nearby business owner Alicia Mims.

"I just wanted to give my sympathy to them and let them know that we are all thinking about them," stated Rapido Gas Station sales representative Noelle Mosher. "Everybody in the community loved them."

It is possible that the suspect was working with an accomplice, authorities said. But police have yet to make any arrests in this case. Anyone with information about the robbery and murder is urged to contact The Colony Police Department immediately.

Meanwhile, a local business owner added that she is going to have a car wash on Friday afternoon, just down the street from the Rapido Gas Station, to raise money for the Siwakoti family.
