Man Found Dead Along Balch Springs Road

BALCH SPRINGS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Balch Springs are investigating the death of a man who was found along the side of the road on Monday. This happened in the 2900 block of Cottonwood Lane.
Officers were first called to the scene for a report of a sick person. However, when they arrived, authorities discovered an unresponsive black male. The man was taken to Dallas Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials are still trying to determine the cause of his death.
The victim's name has not been released.
After speaking with witnesses at the scene, police are investigating this case as a homicide. A unidentified suspect has been taken into custody, but detectives are still gathering evidence and interviewing other witnesses.
