DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) - An elderly couple is found dead in their Denton home and now their son is charged with two counts of capital murder.

This morning Stephen L. Scott is behind bars.

Police have identified the victims as 75-year-old Marion Scott and 70-year-old Linda Scott.

Investigators say it was Stephen Scott called 911 reporting a domestic disturbance at a home on Lynhurst Lane Sunday afternoon. It was when officers went inside the house that they found the couple dead, both suffered multiple stab wounds.

Police say they recovered what is believed to be the murder weapon.

Denton police Officer Orlando Hinojosa said there were, "no signs of robbery or theft," at the house.

Those in the area say they are shocked and some who knew the couple personally said the two were friendly.

Neighbor Tana Womack said, "It's crazy 'cause we don't have that kind of stuff. This is a crazy nice neighborhood. I mean, it's just very shocking."

So far, police haven't released motive for the attack.

The medical examiner is expected to release the exact cause of death after autopsies are performed.

Police say the investigation into the murders is ongoing.
