Man Sentenced For Bomb Hoax At Carrollton School

CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A Connecticut man is in federal custody for a "swatting" incident at Carrollton's Hebron High School in January of 2014.
"Swatting" refers to the criminal act of calling in a false report of an ongoing critical incident in order to draw an emergency response.
The FBI says 22-year-old Matthew Tollis of Wetherfields has admitted to his role in the bomb hoax which drew a full-scale response from the Carrollton Police Department and sent the school campus into lockdown.
Co-defendants, including juveniles and suspects overseas, were said to be part of an online bullying group called, "Team Crucifix."
Tollis has been sentenced to one year in federal prison and three years federal probation.
