Man Arrested For Hit-And-Run After Allegedly Assaulting His Father

WATAUGA (CBSDFW.COM) - It started as a reckless driver call and ended with a man in custody facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a family member.
Watauga Police say officers responded to the area of 6300 Old Mill Circle around 7:30 p.m. Monday. That's where they found the alleged hit-and-run driver and took him into custody.
While officers worked the crash scene, a witness told them about an assault that had happened just around the corner in the 6100 block of Melody involving the arrested person and his father.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital for injuries including a laceration.
The investigation continues and police have not released the name of the suspect yet.
