DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - When shots rang out near baggage claim at Dallas Love Field Friday, some frightened people scrambled past security so everyone at the airport had to be rescreened.

An officer shot a man outside the airport during a domestic disturbance with the mother of his children, Dallas police say.

This led to a lot of chaos and massive crowds inside the airport.

Around 1:45 p.m. Dallas Love Field announced TSA Security checkpoints has reopened for all departing flights and people on those flights could expect to spend about three hours in line.

At 3:00 p.m. that wait was reduced to two hours.
