Living Large: The Lake House In Westlake

WESTLAKE (CBS 11 NEWS) - It's a perfect home for a staycation. The $1.7 million home in Westlake is spread out on a one-acre lot on the banks of a man-made lake.

In terms of recreational activity realtor Roxann Taylor says there's plenty. "You can have catch and release, some fishing in the lake."

The lake is visible from just about every room in the 6,800 square foot house. But the view from the master bedroom is a must see!

"This would just be really, really nice and peaceful before starting a busy day," Taylor said of the sprawling suite.

Everything is bigger in Texas and that is evident in the master bath. It has a big soaking tub and a double shower.

The closet is big enough to be another room. Taylor said, "It's not only extremely spacious but just so well thought out with all the hanging room."

Upstairs the game room is filled with memorabilia, including a movie theater popcorn machine and original Texas Ranger Stadium chairs.

But the best part about the home is its backyard. "There's a lot of greenery, because of the lake."

The local flora and fauna make the backyard colorful and welcoming.

Sitting in the infinity edge pool and looking out into the lake... that's Living Large.
