FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Firefighters in Frisco are investigating a house fire off of Shady Shore Drive after nearby lightning might have possibly hit the home.

Residents were inside at the time and reported hearing a loud boom at around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The folks inside were able to get out safely before the fire quickly spread from the attic of the home and throughout the second floor.

Fire investigators explained that it is too early to say if the fire was caused by lightning, but they feel that there is a good chance that the blaze was weather-related.

No one was hurt in this incident. The residents were even able to evacuate their pets before the flames intensified.
