LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - A 19-year-old woman is in custody after turning herself in to detectives at the Lewisville Police Department on Thursday.

Cariea Lashae McCord is in the Lewisville Jail. She is suspected of being involved in the shooting death of Jarrod Dewayne Black. Black was found shot dead behind the wheel of a car on July 23.

Police issued a capital murder arrest warrant for McCord in August and believed she had gone into hiding.

According to KRLD's Austin York, Captain Dan Rochelle says witnesses saw two people run from the car after hearing shots. After an investigation, it didn't take long to figure out who the shooter was. "Various leads and information lead us to believe his cousin, Coreia McCord shot him" Rochelle said.

Detectives say they are still working to identify another person that was allegedly in the vehicle at the time of the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information about the second person or the shooting death of Black to contact the Lewisville Police Department crime tip line at 972-219-8477 (TIPS).

McCord's bond is set at $100,000.
