LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Lewisville police have released the name of the suspect shot and killed by police Wednesday.

He was 22-year old, Davis Thomas of garland.

Police said Thomas pointed a gun at a driver then took that person's car.

After he crashed, police say he tried to carjack customers outside a convenience store.

That's where officers shot him. The suspect was transported to Lewisville Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other injuries have been reported.
Erica Montes was face to face with the man before the shooting started.

"He pointed the gun at me. I was very scared. I didn't know if he was going to shoot at me or grab me. Police had surrounded him. I was lucky to get away," she said.
