Killer Of Collin County Real Estate Agent Loses Appeal

COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to review an appeal from a parolee on Texas death row for the slaying of a suburban Dallas real estate agent 10 years ago.
It was in 2006 when Sarah Anne Walker's body was found in a D.R. Horton model home in McKinney. The 40-year-old real estate agent was working as a new home sales agent at the time of the murder and was about to show a new home when Kosoul Chanthakoummane walked in.
The woman's body was later found a short time later by a couple house-hunting. Her nose and two teeth were broken and she'd been stabbed dozens of times.
The high court, without comment Monday, rejected an appeal from the now 36-year-old Chanthakoummane. A lower appeals court earlier this year had turned down arguments he had deficient legal help at his 2007 trial.
He'd served time in North Carolina for aggravated kidnapping and robbery and was paroled to Dallas to live with relatives when he was arrested for Walker's death.
