KILLEEN, Texas (AP) - A Central Texas soldier has been blamed for killing his wife and two other people, wounding another person then taking his own life in an off-post dispute.

Killeen police identified the shooter as 30-year-old Atase Giffa. Fort Hood officials on Tuesday didn't immediately provide information on him.

Police on Sunday night responded to a 911 call about an unspecified disturbance in a neighborhood.

The suspect's 28-year-old wife, Dawn Giffa, was slain. Officials say 31-year-old Lydia Farina and 40-year-old Larry Guzman were also fatally shot.

A 41-year-old woman was wounded. Police on Tuesday didn't immediately provide further information on her.

The Watertown, New York, Daily Times reports Dawn Giffa was Canadian - from Kingston, Ontario - and met her future spouse while he was stationed at Fort Drum, New York.
