Keller ISD Warns Parents Of "Stranger Danger"
KELLER (CBSDFW.COM) - The Keller Independent School District is warning parents to stay on high alert after a suspicious man approached a student walking home. It happened at the corner of Honeybee Lane and Staghorn Circle South.
The district says the suspicious stranger pulled up alongside the boy Thursday. He then asked the Fossil Hill Middle School student if he needed a ride in his green four-door, "boxy" sedan (pictured below).
The student described the man as a Hispanic male, with facial hair (possibly a goatee). A Fort Worth police officer drove by at that time, and the man quickly drove away. The student said that prior to the stranger's approach, he saw him following another young man on a skateboard.
The student's parents reported the incident to campus administrators, and a report was filed with the Fort Worth Police Department. The NRES staff is on the alert and said the will watch for any suspicious behavior during dismissal. Additionally, the Fort Worth Police Department will continue to monitor the circumstances surrounding the incident for neighborhood safety.
