Keller 'Black Widow' Gets 60 Years Prison

FORT WORTH (AP) - A North Texas woman has been sentenced to 60 years in prison for the 2011 shooting death of her husband.

Michele Williams was sentenced by a Fort Worth jury on Tuesday after being convicted a day earlier of murder and tampering with evidence.

Prosecutors said the 45-year-old Williams killed her husband at their home in suburban Keller for about $800,000 in life insurance money.

Defense attorneys had argued that 40-year-old Greg Williams took his own life.

Michele Williams had previously told investigators that an intruder fatally shot her husband.

A judge earlier revoked a plea deal prosecutors reached with Michele Williams that set a prison term of up to 20 years because she later claimed she was innocent.

Williams must serve at least 30 years before being eligible for parole.
