DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - It seems like a game of finely-tuned chess moves that the Dallas Cowboys are making with their players as they keep hopes alive for a playoff spot.
A twice-this-season injured Tony Romo has still not been placed on IR, and according to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, there are no plans to keep star WR Dez Bryant off the field - no matter what.
On his weekly radio show on 105.3 The Fan, Jones said despite his early season injuries and his recent performance in Green Bay, which he claimed was an "aberration," the Cowboys will not "shut down" Dez Bryant. "We'll go balls out with Dez" said Jones.
When asked if he was concerned for Dez Bryant's lingering injury, "Not at all. Not sure the foot is an issue."
Mr. Jones also understands fans who want the club to make a QB change to third-teamer Kellen Moore because Matt Cassel is 1-5 as the starter in place of injured Tony Romo.
The team owner/GM backs coach Jason Garrett's reasoning that Matt Cassel still gives Cowboys best chance to win.
"It always feels good to think about 'let's try something that might give us some relief,'relative to where we find the team - and that's natural" said Jones. "But if you don't give yourself the best operator under that center then your taking away from a lot of work that other people are doing."
