Jerry Rebounds To 'Daydreaming' About Cowboys Greatness Without Romo, Dez

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - In the span of a few days, Jerry Jones has elevated from "low as a crippled cricket's ass'' to "daydreaming'' about Cowboys greatness.
"We have to figure out ways to excel and win and when we do, it should be inspirational,'' the owner said while watching Cowboys practice on Thursday without the injured Tony Romo and Dez Bryant.
"We have to figure out ways to excel and win and when we do, it should be inspirational,'' Jones said. "But from the standpoint of them not being here and falling off the map, I don't see that at all. The game is not designed that way. There are too many people who have to get on the field and play the game.''
The Cowboys owner knows the situation is challenging, especially, as he noted, "we depend inordinately on Tony Romo.''
But after that initial "cricket'' comment about his feelings in Philly when Romo went down (for what Dallas hopes is only an eight-week period) with a collarbone issue in what became a Cowboys win, Jerry is back to being Jerry.
"I'm the greatest daydreamer there is,'' he said.
