DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Jerry Jones joined Shan & R.J. for his weekly segment on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday.

He started out the conversation addressing the Joseph Randle controversy. For the second week in a row, Randle reached the ball over the goal line rather than try and get low like his coaches prefer. Randle was met by screaming coaches when he reached the sideline after scoring a touchdown on the play. At the center of discussion is whether or not Randle was benched on Sunday.

Jason Garrett said yesterday that the play was part of the reason Randle only got 4 carries the rest of the game.

Today, Jerry Jone said Randle didn't get benched. "No we didn't bench him. We did not bench him. We wanted McFadden in there at that time and it was not a bench."

When asked if Randle would be the starter on Sunday against the Patriots, Jones said,"I don't know how they'll line up but it's certainly... That sequence or that goal line play wouldn't impact who starts the game Sunday, but I'm not hedging at all. We'll just see how they look in practice this week."
