DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys De Randy Gregory will ultimately serve out his 10-game suspension after he violated the NFL's substance abuse policy multiple times, but not by his choice.

Reports said that Gregory withdrew his appeal to the NFL of the suspension, but Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones tells 105.3 The Fan's Shan & RJ the NFL Players Asssociation killed the deal.

"He (Gregory) didn't" said Jones. "The player's association did…they felt legally he didn't have an appeal."

"You have to have the support of the players association, or it's hopeless" said Jones. "They way the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) is, it boxed him out on having any merit to his appeal."
