DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Jerry Jones says there's "nothing simple about this" when deciding who to start at quarterback between Dak Prescott and Tony Romo. Jones made the comments on his weekly appearance with the GBag Nation on 105.3 The Fan on Friday morning.

Also, Jones clarified some of the comments he made Monday to The Fan's Shan & RJ show, including one where he said he had a lot of tolerance for ambiguity with the quarterback situation.

"The question was when do you think Tony might be back. When? I'm saying with the way Dak is playing. With the positives of him playing, which gives us every opportunity to feel good about our future. He's doing such an outstanding job relatively speaking to winning the ball games. All of those give us more ability to look at this thing and measure it as we go. I do have to say one more time, this is an absolute great thing for our team, our fans, our future... It's a great thing to have this issue."

In the same interview on Monday, Jones confirmed that Romo had an MRI and that the results "were just as we expected,"  but he would not give an answer on when he may return to the field.

"We've got a great situation here. ... I just have to pinch myself to think about it. "We've got Dak, who is playing at a level that is very capable of winning these games. We've got the optimism every time he walks out there. It's inspiring, it's inspiring this team. I think what Dak's success has done is given us the luxury to absolutely maximize any thought we might have of his (Romo's) rehab time," said Jones.

"It's just a question of him working back in," said Jones without specifically acknowledging the team's long-standing plan for Romo "working back in" by starting the Oct. 30 meeting with the Eagles, "and we've got a great situation here. ... It's a wonderful problem to have. It's a miracle problem."
