Jerry Jones Jokes About 'High Price' Of Randle's Underwear Theft

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) -- Joseph Randle calls it a learning experience and the "biggest mistake I've ever made in my life." Jason Garrett says the team will fine Randle and move on.

Jerry Jones was asked about the future of his running back following his arrest for shoplifting at a Frisco Dillard's this week.

"I was surprised, for the obvious reason," said Jones. "I think he's very, very, very capable. His track record is, if he makes a miscue, he'll straighten it up and go forward. He's contrite."

Jones says that Randle now understands that his actions can impact a lot of people -- like his teammates.

The police report indicates that Randle stole a 2-pack of black polo underwear valued at $39.50 and a tester bottle of Gucci guilty Black cologne valued at $84.00. But Jerry joked about how much the items will actually cost him.

"He's certainly going to pay a high price for some underwear and a demonstration bottle of cologne. That'll set a record," said Jones.

Jerry compared it to an infamous dinner in which then-rookie Dez Bryant was forced to pay a large dinner bill as part of hazing.

"That'll probably surpass what Dez paid for a few bottles of wine."
