IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Strong storms late Monday night and early Tuesday morning left an Irving apartment complex badly damaged. Tree branches were snapped and a parking awning was ripped up from the cement and twisted by high winds like it was tin foil.

The parking structure crashed and toppled onto cars, leaving residents at the Promenade at Valley Ridge Apartments, located near the intersection of Valley View Lane and Northgate Drive, with a big mess to clean up on Tuesday morning.

The powerful winds hammered everything, so even those without damaged cars will likely be picking up broken tree limbs and other pieces of debris on Tuesday.

Despite the destruction seen on the outside, there have been no reports of injuries at the apartment complex.
