Inmate Who Escaped From Police At Hospital Is Back In Jail

DALLAS/LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - The man who escaped from police while at a hospital on February 14 was recaptured overnight.
He had walked out of the Medical Center of Lewisville ER without anyone noticing.
Overnight, Dallas Police saw Thomas Cano, 27, looking into cars in a parking lot off the Webb Chapel Extension.
Officers went and talked to Cano and discovered he was wanted by the Lewisville Police Department and arrested him.
Lewisville detectives picked him up and took him to jail.
He's now charged with escape along with his earlier charges for theft.
