Line Dancing Grandmother Celebrates Surviving Cancer At Billy Bobs

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A bucket list wish and a story of survival played out on the dance floor of the biggest honky-tonk in the world, Billy Bob's in Fort Worth.
Pat Gladman, 76, from the U.K. is a stomach cancer survivor who has line danced for nearly 20-years.
She says her love of line dancing helped fuel her battle against her diagnosis.
"My line dancing kept me going, because I wanted to get back to it," said Gladman.
That was more than a decade ago. Now, thanks to a city of Fort Worth travel contest that her daughter won, the grandmother is fulfilling the top wish on her bucket list: To line dance at a honky-tonk in Texas.
Gladman described fulfilling her wish by saying "It was bloody marvelous. That was the experience of my life."
Her wish was fulfilled on the same night that the dancers paid tribute to Ronna Wolfe, a beloved friend of Billy Bob's who lost her battle with cancer in 2009.
As for their love of country western music in the U.K, Gladman's daughter Chrissy Hamlin, who won the all-expense paid trip for two to Fort Worth added, "we love our country and Western music, and we love America and we love Texas."
