Gunman arrested in Georgia for deadly shooting in south Fort Worth
FORT WORTH — A man, who hasn't been identified, has been arrested in Valdosta, Ga. in connection with a fatal shooting in south Fort Worth.
The shooting occurred about 2:25 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of Chesapeake Bay Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found a shooting victim in the front yard of a residence. The victim, 54-year-old Gene Bass, was later pronounced dead.
Detectives say the man drove up to the residence and fired multiple shots at the victim before driving off.
Homicide detectives are still investigating the incident.
