Hit-&-Run Driver Identified As Dallas Police Officer

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A man who chased down a hit-and-run driver was surprised to find a police officer behind the wheel.
It happened in the 4900 block of S. Cockrell Hill Road when the officer's car veered into the center lane going the same direction; colliding mirror to mirror with the victim's vehicle.
The officer, identified as Anthony Miles, pulled into the Southwest Patrol Division located at 4230 W. Illinois Avenue.
When the man whose car was hit recognized Miles as a uniformed Dallas police officer, he dialed 911.
Even though Miles was off duty and in his own car, he's now on leave pending the criminal and administrative investigations.
