DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - CBS11 has learned Hillary Clinton has cancelled her public appearance in Dallas scheduled for next week.
The cancellation is due to an unspecified scheduling conflict.
But Mrs. Clinton will still be coming to Dallas to hold a fundraiser on the evening of September 22nd.
State Senator Royce West of Dallas has already endorsed her for President.
Her visit to Dallas comes as her poll numbers continue to fall.
She trails Democratic challenger Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a Socialist who votes with the Democrats in Congress, in polls in Iowa and New Hampshire.
But the former Secretary of State still remains far ahead of Sanders in larger, more diverse states such as South Carolina, Florida, and California and in national polls.
Sanders attracted eight thousand people to his campaign rally in Dallas this summer, and has attracted even larger crowds across the country.
There is still a lot of speculation that Vice President Joe Biden will jump into the Democratic race for President.
His poll numbers have been rising nationally and the key early states as well.
