FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) -  An elementary school principal in the HEB ISD was arrested by Frisco police Tuesday afternoon at a popular local mall, accused of trying to solicit a minor online.

Oscar Figueroa, 46, was charged after his arrest at Stonebriar Centre.

Police said there were no children contacted by Figueroa during this incident as his actions consisted of a conversation with detectives only.

Figueroa is the principal at Viridian Elementary in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, but was put on paid administrative leave, said district spokesperson Judy Ramos.

"We are cooperating fully with the local authorities," Ramos said in a statement issued late Tuesday.  "The safety and security of our students is always our top priority."

Viridian Elementary School is located on Cascade Sky Drive in Arlington, but as of late Tuesday, Arlington police had not been asked to assist in the investigation, said police Lt. Chris Cook.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Frisco Police Department at 972-292-6010. Anonymous tips may also be texted to the police department through tip411 by texting "FRISCOPD" and the tip to 847411 (tip411).

This case is still under investigation.
