LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) — Lewisville police say a handcuffed man in their custody escaped at a hospital.

Police said Thomas Cano ran from the Medical Center of Lewisville while an officer was distracted by a disturbance that broke out, which was unrelated to the 27-year-old, around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said Cano was taken to the hospital because he was not feeling well.

Police said Cano is not armed and is not considered dangerous. He's described as 5-foot-6 and weighing 180 pounds.

If anyone sees him, they can call the department at 972-219-3600.
