FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – If you don't want to be "that" house in the neighborhood handing out the candy that nobody wants. We gathered some advice from a group of experts – young experts - ages 5 to 11. This group will tell you everything you need to know about treats this Halloween.

But when you are looking for information it always helps to bring out the goodies – especially with kids.

"I like a lot of candies," says Reed. "I love Twix, I like KitKat," says Haley.

Since these kids are experts in all things candy… getting them to talk about treats was easy.

The stuff they like… "I love candy corn, I like the wax in them," remarks Lauren.

And of course, what they don't like. "I hate lollipops, they take forever to eat," complains Anishka. "The worst thing I ever gotten was a giant one of these (holding up a Tootsie Roll), like a big one, I threw it across the yard," says Caroline.

Nearly 170 million Americans are expected to celebrate Halloween this year. Spending almost 8.5 billion dollars on candy, costumes and decor.

That means getting the right stuff makes good financial sense. According to Influenster.com the number one candy of choice in the Lone Star state is… candy corn.

"Candy corn has a waxy taste. I can't say anything for that," remarks Caroline.

But Some parents can, a lot of parents actually! It turns out almost 70% of parents end up raiding the Halloween loot!

"Try going from house to house, running, running to get as much candy as they can, reacts Haley.

So whether its KitKat bars, lollipops, bubble gum or candy corn - kids say the good news is you have options!!!

"I think people should put out some of everything," says Anishka.

"Money is great," remarks Haley.

From the mouths of babes…
