California Man Arrested After Beating Girlfriend, Shooting Man In Grapevine

GRAPEVINE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A California man was in town to see his alleged girlfriend Tuesday night when he turned violent, leaving one man with gunshot wounds and the woman beaten.

It happened in the parking lot of the Camden Riverwalk Apartments on Grapevine Mills Parkway.

Grapevine Police Sgt. Robert Eberling says 36-year old Arron William Lephart of California shot a 42-year-old man multiple times and beat the 32-year old woman.

It appears all three people knew each other.

Police say Lephart fled the scene and was arrested a short time later by Highland Village Police without incident.

Lephart is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond is set at $50,000 for each charge

Sgt. Eberling says the male victim was taken to John Peter Smith hospital.

The woman's injuries are non-life threatening and was taken to Baylor Hospital for treatment.
