GRAPEVINE (AP) - North Texas police have identified the officer who fatally shot an unarmed man twice after a pursuit that ended in Euless.

Grapevine police Sgt. Robert Eberling says officer Robert Clark shot and killed 31-year-old Ruben Villalpando. Clark is on routine administrative leave.

Eberling says Clark was dispatched Friday to a business for an activated alarm. Clark saw a vehicle in the parking lot and turned on his car's emergency lights.

Eberling says dashboard camera video shows Clark following the vehicle, which sped off onto a highway and eventually stopped. Clark ordered Villalpando to show his hands outside his vehicle, but Villalpando instead emerged and walked with his hands up toward Clark's car despite commands to stop.

Eberling says Clark repeatedly told Villapando get back into his vehicle. Two shots are then heard.

Villalpando later died at a hospital.
