Grand Prairie Police Searching For Homicide Suspect

GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) — Grand Prairie police are searching for the suspect of a homicide that happened Saturday night.

Police say officers responded to a shooting at the Williamsburg Apartments, near the 2400 block of South Carrier Parkway, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers found a man inside a car who appeared to have been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

The man's identity and cause of death will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner. Police say this is the third homicide in Grand Prairie this year.

Police said a witness reported seeing a white sedan speeding out of the complex after they heard gunshots.

Detectives are investigating. Police are encouraging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 972-988-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
