GLENN HEIGHTS (CBSDFW.COM) - A missing 17-year-old from Glenn Heights has been found safe hours after police say she was kidnapped.

Keidra Kirby was taken near her home by two men who threw her into the back of a van with another person in the driver's seat, according to Glenn Heights Police.

An Amber Alert was issued a short time later.

This morning, police took to their Facebook page to say Kirby had been found.

Police say the teen's grandmother called 911 after getting a call from her that she was in the 3800 block of Gannon Lane in far Southwest Dallas.

Glenn Heights officers went to that location - near the intersection of I-20 and US Highway 67 - and found Kirby. She was taken back to the Glenn Heights Police Department, and officers said their investigation was continuing.

Late Saturday police had said the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were sending task force members to assist with the investigation.

Just before 10 p.m. Saturday night, Keidra's mother, Tawanna Kirby, met with reporters to urge the kidnappers to ask for her daughter's freedom.

"Whoever has her, bring her back,"  Kirby pleaded.  "Just bring her back.  Everyone is looking.  I will be up all night if I have to walk the streets, drive.  I'm going to. I'm going to do it.  I just need my child to come back."

Police say they got the initial 911 call around 7:00 p.m. Saturday.

The man said his daughter had been taken in a white van with dark tinted windows and dual rear doors.

When officers got to the scene two witnesses confirmed they saw the the suspects take the victim.

An emergency phone bank was set up for people to call with information - 972-218-2630.  Police had asked for "any and all information regarding this incident."
