DALLAS, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - George Selvie, a popular figure in the Dallas Cowboys locker room — and here on 105.3 The Fan - is moving to New York.

The defensive end is being signed by NFC East rival the Giants.

Selvie, 28, was a "Cowboy off the Couch'' two years ago when Dallas' depleted defensive front needed help. In his two seasons he recorded 75 tackles and 10 sacks while starting 29 games. 32 games. A sixth-year pro, the 6-4, 270-pound Selvie should be a rotational end for New York.

In Dallas, the end jobs are filling up, with Greg Hardy signing and with the maturation of Demarcus Lawrence, both of whom can be backed up by Jeremy Mincey.

The popular Selvie served as an intern for "Shan & RJ'' on 105.3 The Fan while also serving as a mentor in the Dallas locker room.
