Missing Elderly Garland Man Found Safe
UPDATE (9:15 a.m.): Garland Police say Mr. Thomas was found safe this morning in Cook County. He is being checked out by paramedics and will be reunited with his family shortly.
GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) -- Garland Police are searching for a missing 87-year-old man who was last seen at his home on Wednesday afternoon.
Roy Thomas, who lives in the 2700 block of Ripplewood Drive, is believed to be driving a 2003 silver Ford Taurus with Texas handicap plates, "1CSJP".
Authorities believe he may have been driving to the area of Arapaho Road and Highway 75 in Richardson.
Thomas has multiple medical problems requiring medication every 12 hours. He is described as standing 5-foot-9 and 145 pounds with gray hair.
Anyone who sees Thomas or knows of his whereabouts is encouraged to call Garland Police.
