Garland Police Make Arrest In Stabbing Death

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - Garland police made an arrest early Saturday morning after responding to a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Rosehill Road.

According to police, when officers arrived at the apartment complex, they found a man outside and lying on the ground unresponsive.

Paramedics transported the man to Baylor Hospital in Dallas where he later died.

Police said while officers were investigating the scene, a man approached them and admitted to being responsible for the victim's stab wounds.

The man responsible for the victim's death was identified as 25-year-old Byron Jones.

The victim was also identified as 44-year-old Michael Webb.

According to witnesses, Jones was the boyfriend of Webb's stepdaughter.

Jones was arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held in the Garland Detention Center with no bond.

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
