Garland Man In Jail For Allegedly Shooting, Killing Wife

MESQUITE, TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Mesquite Police have arrested a Garland man for allegedly shooting and killing his wife on Sunday.

Ashton Neroes, 28, is charged with murder with a bond set at $100,000.

The victim, Markeita McCleary, 28, was found shot multiple times shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 Block of Oates Drive.

She was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police have not released any details on a motive.
