Gang Member Gets 30 Years Jail For 2 Slayings

FORT WORTH (AP) - A North Texas man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his part in the gang-related gunfire that killed two people and hurt two others in 2012.

Prosecutors in Fort Worth on Tuesday announced the penalty for 21-year-old Jose De La Rosa, who pleaded guilty to engaging in organized criminal activity.

Already serving life imprisonment for the killings is 23-year-old Joe Sessums Jr., who was convicted by a Tarrant County jury in November in the fatal May 2012 shootings of Fabian Guerrero and Diane Guerra in Fort Worth.

Police believed the shootings were gang-related.
