FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Fort Worth police say a gang member has been arrested after an 80-year-old woman was shot in her sleep during a drive-by shooting.

Police say 19-year-old Kerrian Cox was arrested Thursday morning and charged with aggravated assault while engaging in organized crime and drug possession. He's being held in the Mansfield Jail on $104,000 bond. Jail records don't list an attorney.

Grandmother Margaret Bracken told CBS 11 News that she woke up Tuesday night as she slept in a front bedroom. One of the bullets hit Bracken in the arm. She was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition and was treated and released.

One of the bullets, fired at the house in the 5500 block of Patton Drive, came within a few feet of hitting the woman's sleeping 1-year-old great-grandson. Family members explained that the bullet missed the baby by inches.

Police say at least seven shots were fired into the house.
