FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - The National Videogame Museum opened at the Frisco Discovery Center Saturday.

The museum takes you through the history of the industry, according to co-founder Joe Santulli.

But unlike many museums, you're allowed to not only touch the exhibits, but play with them.

"It's hands on. It's a tactile experience. You should play games. It's a visceral thing. It's not meant to be a thing where you stand and read," Santulli said.

CBS11 anchor Russ McCaskey did a Welcome To Texas feature on the National Videogame Museum earlier this week.

Special Grand Opening hours this weekend are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
