Fort Worth Man Is Robbed & Shot, Later Sees Suspect Walking Down Street

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A North Texas gunshot victim sees his attacker walking down the street, hours after being treated for his injuries at a local hospital. Police are now hoping you can help identify the dangerous criminal.
It was Sunday morning, October 25, when two men were trying to free a truck that had gotten stuck in the mud in the 100 block of East Butler Street. A man approached them while they were busy trying to hook up the truck to another vehicle.
The suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded they hand over their money. As one of the victims began to comply he remembered his immigration documents were in the wallet and refused to give it to the robber.
The suspect shot the victim in the leg as the two struggled over the wallet. Undeterred, the suspect stayed at the scene demanding money from second man working on the stuck vehicle.
The suspect then ran from the scene on foot.
The injured man was treated and released from a local hospital and hours later saw the suspect walking near East Seminary and Interstate-35W. The suspect ran away when he saw the victim on his cell phone calling the police.
Police now have a photo and a good description of the robber who is a Black male, standing between 5'10" and 6'0" and weighing between 120 and 150 pounds. At the time of the offense the suspect was wearing black sunglasses, a black hoodie, and a black baseball cap with the white letters "ATM" on the back, possibly a symbol for Texas A&M University.
