Frisco Toddler In Serious Condition After Falling From Fourth Floor Apt

UPDATE: The two-year-old girl, who fell from her family's apartment window, condition has improved. The toddler has now been listed in fair condition and is not longer in ICU.

FRISCO, TX (CBSDFW.COM) -- The father of a two-year-old girl says his daughter is "serious but she's alive" after a fall from a fourth floor apartment window in Frisco. " The girl was airlifted to Children's Medical Center in Dallas following the fall at the "Boulevard At Frisco Square" apartments according to Frisco firefighters.

Dispatchers received the call at approximately 8:55 a.m. Friday morning regarding a fall in the 6200 block of Frisco Square Blvd. Firefighters say it appears a window was open and the toddler pushed the window screen and fell four stories to a grassy area below.

Reportedly one the residents saw the child on the ground and called 9-1-1.

Officials confirm that a window, seen from Chopper 11, with a screen clearly hanging loose from the frame is the window from which the toddler fell.

Firefighter-Paramedics transported the child by ambulance to nearby Frisco Fire Station #4, where CareFlite then airlifted her to Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

The child's condition is considered serious.

According to neighbors, the child's family had just moved into the apartment unit two days ago.

Investigators have officially ruled that the fall was an accident.
