FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Frisco RoughRiders have turned to a historical figure to update their logo -- a swinging Teddy Roosevelt.
The team has teased the redesign for three weeks and revealed the logo and jerseys at a press conference on Thursday. The official team colors will be red, blue, and cream.
"Rough Riders" is the name that was given to the First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry, which was led by Theodore Roosevelt in 1898.
The club also released a series of road, home, and alternate uniforms which will be worn during the upcoming season.
The RoughRiders moved to Frisco in 2003 and are the Class AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
