Frisco Mother Charged With DWI

FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - A mother of two from Frisco was arrested after her vehicle ended up in a neighborhood pond.

Authorities arrived to the 1100 block of of Ducks Landing and proceeded to talk with witnesses of the accident.

After the investigation, they determined that 34 year-old Amy Gonzalez-Rodiles would be charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

Witnesses say that the car exited the roadway and went into the north pond of Ducks Landing. Gonzalez-Rodiles and her two children were able to climb out of the windows of the vehicle and swim to shore.

The children (ages 8 and 10 years-old) and Rodiles were not injured. The children were released to a family member who later arrived on the scene.

Gonzalez-Rodiles' bond was set at $2,000 and she was released on Sunday.
