Frisco Freedom Fest Entertains Thousands On Fourth

FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Frisco's Freedom Fest proved to be one of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in North Texas Saturday.
From barbecue to snow cones, hungry festival-goers had plenty of options.
Eleven-year-old Subi Sankar may have been there to help with the family food stand, but there was no way she was going to miss out on all the fun.
"I like had the best memories here, bungee jumping and everything," Sankar said.
Kids had a blast with everything from rock-climbing walls to the human hamster balls. The Texas-sized inflatable slide was an eye-opener for some parents.
"That's pretty awesome. It's pretty high, but it's pretty awesome. The kids like it," Vaughn Sinkewiz said of the giant slide.
At times it was hard to tell who was having more fun, the kids or the grownups.
"We had the grandkids for the weekend and wanted to have some fun with them, and we've been here before, so I thought we'd come back out and enjoy the fun," Susan Joseph said at the Children's Expo.
Adults had their share of entertainment, especially as CBS11's Russ McCaskey introduced performers including Eagles tribute band Into The West. For families coming back to Freedom Fest year after year, 2015 is one to remember.
"I've been here every time, and every time it's a new experience," Sankar said.
