Free Immunization Clinic, Health Fair In Dallas Saturday

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Church of the Incarnation will host what it calls the Last Free Immunization Clinic and Health Fair before school starts on Saturday, August 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The event, at the church at 3966 McKinney Avenue, just north of Blackburn Street, is free to the public.

Immunizations will be provided by Texas Care Van.

According to a news release, meningitis and whooping cough vaccines will be included in the vaccines offered along with free student sports physicals, dental exams and eye exams.

Participants need to bring their immunization records and the event is first come, first served.

The clinic will also feature a Zumba class, an "Ask the Doctor" booth other health information.

A soccer ball giveaway and bicycle with helmet giveaway will also take place with a limited number of donations.

The Dallas Police Central Neighborhood Patrol Office will sponsor a bicycle safety course at the health fair. The Mounted Patrol, McGruff the Crime Dog and Police Low rider will also be there the day of the event.
