DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police arrested a driver involved in a crash that killed four women.

Jose Lule, 19, of Mineral Wells is in custody.  His bond is set at $40,000.

Police say Lule and three other men were in a truck that collided with the car the four victims were in on Webb Chapel Road at Park Lane late Saturday night.

The driver of the truck attempted to run away from the scene after the crash, but was caught.

The deceased women were 38, 42, 55, and 65.

Their identities have not been made public and it's unclear if they were related.

Police say it does not appear alcohol was a factor in this crash.

Linus Spiller lives nearby and heard the collision from three blocks away.  He says he rushed to the scene to see if he could help.

"It was horrific," he said. "The two cars were so crunched they looked like one car."

Spiller, who has lived in the area for 18 years, said accidents along this stretch of Webb Chapel in northwest Dallas are a common occurrence.

"People travel on it like the Autobahn," he said. "It's insane. They got to do something about it because it's too dangerous."
