Fort Worth Woman Fights Off, Stabs Attempted Sex Assault Suspect

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth Police have arrested an attempted sex assault suspect after his victim stabbed him Friday morning.

Police say at about 8 am, they responded to an attempted sexual assault call at an apartment complex on 8300 Brentwood Stair Road. The woman told police that the suspect grabbed her and pulled her into an apartment where he tried to sexually assault her. The victim was able to get away from her attacker by stabbing him several times with a small knife, according to police. She was able to call police from another apartment in the complex.

Police searched the area and found the suspect hiding in another nearby apartment. He was arrested and taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was also being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are investigating whether this incident is related to a possible sexual predator that has been reported in this area.
