Fort Worth Postal Worker Arrested After Threatening Employees With Gun

FORT WORTH (AP) - Fort Worth police say a U.S. postal worker faces an aggravated assault charge after bringing a gun to work and ordering co-workers to the ground.
Police tell the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that 27-year-old Jason Silmon entered the post office Monday morning armed with a handgun.
Cpl. Tracey Knight, a police spokeswoman, says Silmon then instructed other employees to get on the ground. She says about 11 people working at the time complied. She says that after a few minutes, he put the gun down and waited for police.
He was in the process of getting booked into jail Monday afternoon. Attorney information was not immediately available. Silmon's father, Robert Silmon, says his son is not a violent person.
Knight says police are trying to determine what prompted the incident.
